Tommy Griffith signs with Pathlight Promotions & Media Group
Poca, WV (Feb 4, 2011) Singer / Songwriter, Tommy Griffith of Peterstown, WV, has recently signed an exclusive contract with Pathlight Promotions & Media Group for future compilation releases & radio promotions. His first single is a song written by Tommy himself, titled "They Call Him Jesus". It will be released on the upcoming Pathlight Promotions Compilation CD for Radio Vol 2011-02 sometime in mid February. "I have been familiar with the talents of Tommy Griffith for many years. New Prophets Quartet Sign With Pathlight Promotions & Media Group
Poca, WV (Feb 2, 2011) The New Prophets Quartet of Nitro, WV have recently signed with Pathlight Promotions & Media Group for their compilation releases & radio promotions. Their new single, "Dip My Feet", will be released on the upcoming Pathlight Promotions Compilation CD for Radio Vol 2011-02 sometime in mid-February. "We are excited about the signing of The New Prophets. The New Prophets were originally formed in 1998 as The Prophets Quartet after obtaining the name from original group member Ed Hill, & they carried the name for 8 years. Later, when Ed reformed the original Prophets for a short time, the group decided to change their name to the Mountain State Quartet. The group had obtained such a large following as The Prophets Quartet, that they decided to change the name to The New Prophets in 2008. The current group members are Denzil Harper Sr., Mike Baria, Thurman Taylor & Mike Watts.

The Goodwins score second #1 song
Poca,WV (December 1, 2010) The Goodwins were pleased to find out this week that their latest single,"Revival Medley", came in at #1 on the popular Southern Gospel Times Top 40 chart for the week ending 11/27/10. The Southern Gospel Times is currently the only industry chart that is 100% fan voted. This new song from The Goodwins is their fourth consecutive charting single since the group returned to the road in 2008, and makes their second #1 song on the SGT chart. One of their past singles entitled, "Jesus Died Like A Man", debuted at #1 In June 2009, and held that position for 4 straight weeks.
The Goodwins have been singing & ministering for almost 30 years. They are well known for their original songs written by lead singer, Martha Goodwin-Drake. She has penned songs like "That's My Boy" (recorded by The Wilburns / 2000), "The Walk", "Amen Corner", "Jesus Died Like A Man" & countless others. Genesis was reformed in Jan 2008. Two friends, Juanita Phillips & Terri Depugh, began their journey doing what God had called them to do. Juanita is primarily the lead singer and is the songwriter for the group. She has been singing since early childhood & resides in Charleston, WV. Terri is the alto vocalist for the group & occasionally takes the lead. She resides in Beckley WV. Genesis is a very self reliant ministry in that their songs & vocal talents are all the work of these two dedicated ladies. Poca, WV (Jan 20 2010) The Singing Shafers of Gallipolis OH have recently reached an agreement with Pathlight Promotions & Media Group for future radio promotions & media services. The Singing Shafers new single, "A Part Of Me" (written by Randy Shafer) will be released on the Pathlight Promotions Compilation CD for Radio Vol 2010-02 shipping to radio nationwide in February 2010.
The Singing Shafers were originally formed more than 50 years ago in the Southeastern Ohio Valley. A family ministy, including Randy, his sister Sue & their mother Gail. After more than a decade of ministry the group added 2 guitars & a mandolin to the group. Soon after they recorded their first album at Happy Goodman Studio in KY. After meeting some of the finest singers & musicians in the industry the family group was inspired to continue in the calling the Lord had placed upon their lives.
For years they continued in their family ministry until after nearly 3 decades the group disbanded to raise their families. Randy soon joined with Mark Hale of Harvest Gospel Studios to form the group "Sincere" & remained a part of this ministy for 23 years. In 2005 he left the group to spend time with a family member diagnosed with cancer. In 2007, along with his sister Sue, The Singing Shafers once again began their ministry. That same year, Randy won the State of Ohio's Harmonica Championship. He is an accomplished, vocalist, songwriter, producer & musician playing several different instruments. He is very active in his local church, recording & producing their weekly broadcast, "The Heartbeat", aired on 88.1 JOY FM radio & also shares a daily segment with Doug Miller, of The Concords, called "The Crossroads" also aired on JOY FM.

Having been raised on Gaither music and Southern Gospel, Cheryl Edelmann automatically was drawn to Country music and wanted desperately to move to Nashville to become a Country music artist. However, God had a different calling on her life and that was to sing for His honor and glory! Cheryl continued singing in local churches, just waiting for God to open the doors for her. In 2005 Cheryl made her first full length CD, entitled “Praise His Name”. Soon thereafter, she was called to do a concert in the mountains of Pennsylvania at a lovely Christian retreat. It was there, that the anointing fell and Cheryl knew she was finally doing what God had called her to do.

The Concords name has been around for a long time in Southern Gospel Music. The group was formed in the early 70's, by Jim Black, with Timbs and Shephard out of Nashville, TN. In the early 80's some young men from all over the country came together and acquired the "Concords" name and started out in Sheridan, Arkansas where they formed the new group, with members Brad Dashiel, Kerry Huckaba, Donnie Lewis, Sam Lykins and Doug Miller singing Tenor. After a few years Doug acquired the group name and moved it back to Ohio where he & his wife, Pat began to sing with Butch Garey. After they started a family, they decided to work in the church and raise their kids to strengthen their foundation as they grew. They eventually started singing with their three daughters and as their talents blossomed, the group that audiences know today was formed.
